That same day, major tech companies saw sharp declines in their stock prices. Nvidia’s pre-market shares dropped as much as 10.39%, ASML fell 10.59%, and TSMC slid 9.8%, nearing a double-digit loss. According to Bloomberg, the market turbulence was driven by DeepSeek’s newly released AI model, which is cost-effective and capable of running on lower-end chips, raising concerns about Nvidia and other firms being overvalued.
