Obviously we're excited to see more of the game for the regular reasons, but it's also of interest because Nintendo confirmed to GameSpot last week that Martinet would notvoice Mario in Wonder, despite the game being announced well before the retirement announcement. We don't yet know who the new voice actor is, but the Direct should be an opportunity to hear their performance in greater detail than the initial trailer allowed.
Super Mario Bros. Wonderlaunches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on Oct. 20.
