Let's talk about a thing we all try to avoid: NYC public toilets.
As a matter of fact,This Isn't The Twilight Saga: New Moon: The XXX Parody let's take a moment to lookat them. NYCtoilets is an Instagram account dedicated to documenting the city's porcelain thrones, and the rooms that house them. As you can imagine, NYC bathrooms come in all shapes, sizes, colors, styles and degrees of cleanliness.

The account was started by a man living in Brooklyn, who wishes to remain anonymous. He was inspired after receiving Snapchat videos of various bathrooms in San Francisco from a friend who lives there. The videos were a slow spinning panorama of the bathroom, accompanied by a rating out of 5.

"NYC is wildly diverse and that carries through to the bathrooms of all our favorite establishments," said nyctoilets creator. "Some are weird, some are cool, some are filthy. A lot can be funny in some way. But a lot also contain some really cool and enjoyable graffiti and art."

When life gives us a NYC toilet expert, we of course had to ask for some superlatives.
Best toilet? "Barcade Williamsburg, as they're really wild but also very well kept. Google offices on 8th Ave. are also great. Some very technologically advanced toilets there."

And worst toilet? "JFK. Or any toilet available at public transit hubs."
Most of the photos on the account so far have been taken by the account owner, but he has gotten some great submissions and suggestions. He encourages outside submissions, as he is only one man faced with all of the toilets in NYC.

So the next time you are with a NYC toilet and wishing you had some way to share the beauty (or lack of beauty) that surrounds you, you know where to turn.
