The company’s Hungarian project has passed the environmental impact assessment by the Hungarian government and is currently progressing smoothly, CATL said. In August 2022, CATL officially announced the construction of a battery factory in the eastern Hungarian city of Debrecen, with a planned production capacity of 100 GWh and an investment of 7.34 billion euros.
