Dallas Cowboys fan and Taiwanstand-up comedian Jordan Garnett did what no superstitious sports fan should ever do — get a tattoo prematurely celebrating your team's championship.
Garnett got "Super Bowl LI Champions" with a Cowboys logo inked on his shoulder in December, you know, a solid two months before Super Bowl LI in Houston. As fate would have it, Dallas lost to Green Bay this past weekend, eliminating them from the playoffs and officially making Garnett's tattoo 100 percent inaccurate.
But Garnett has conjured up a greatterribletemporary solution.
First of all, here's the tattoo in question, which clearly was the ultimate jinx.
@nfl Hey Dallas Cowboys! Now it's official. Don't let me down. SUPER BOWL 51 CHAMPIONS!!! Tattooed on 12/6/16. I'm calling it now. pic.twitter.com/BRDkhicgOS

And now, Garnett's proposed solution to the problem — looking ahead to 2018 by adding an extra "I."
“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” I know 100%. I had a vision! @dallascowboys SUPER BOWL 52 CHAMPS! pic.twitter.com/t2jpAzf7RR

The Cowboys are very good, went 13-3 in 2016 and have the young talent to compete for years to come. They very well could be in Super Bowl LII. But on the off-chance they aren't, sooner or later, Garnett is going to run out of space. He could probably fit another "I" in there for Super Bowl LIII in 2019.
But for his sake, let's hope the cowboys win before 2020, when he'd have the impossible task of inking "LIV Champions" on his shoulder.
And considering the tremendous amounts of internet trolling he's gotten, Garnett seems to have no ragrets about his tattoo.
We'll see if he has any ragrets in 2020.
