The next Dota 2Major Championship is heading to Boston Dec. 7-10, bringing 16 qualifying teams to North America for the first time ever aside from The International. Teams will be competing for a piece of the $3 million prize pool.

Pro Gamer League is hosting the Major, which kicks off with open qualifiers Oct. 23-26, followed by regional qualifiers Oct. 27 and group play on Dec. 3 and 4 to determine seeding.

PGL has been hosting tournaments for years, including regular seasons in Dota 2and CS:GOas well as the previous Dota 2Major in Manilla.

The main event will be taking place at the Wang Theatre in Boston, and tickets go on sale Oct. 14.
