Tencent launches AI tool for college application advice post-gaokao* Following the conclusion of China’s national college entrance exams (gaokao),Kali Hansa Tencent’s AI assistant Yuanbao has rolled out a new feature offering personalized university application guidance. As of June 13, users can access the tool on mobile and desktop by enabling “deep thinking” mode, which triggers smart search and delivers tailored suggestions based on a real-time gaokao knowledge base, according to the company. In May, Tencent’s QQ Browser also introduced AI GaokaoTong, the industry’s first gaokao-focused AI agent, supporting end-to-end exam guidance using its proprietary Hunyuan model. Meanwhile, Quark unveiled a gaokao recommendation model yesterday, offering features such as application reports, in-depth search, and smart school matching. The gaokao is one of China’s most critical exams, determining university admissions. University placements are based on students’ scores and the ranked preferences that they submit in advance.
