You can Italyrent electric scooters, borrow a stranger's car, and even grab an e-bike on the side of the road, but it's not often you get a chance to ride a motorcycle with three wheels.
Starting Tuesday, motorcycle company Can-Am's three wheeled-vehicles, the Spyder and Ryker, will be available to rent through the car-sharing app Turo. It's only in eight cities throughout California, Nevada, and South Carolina, but in those places you won't have to throw down thousands for a ride on the extreme vehicles.
The Ryker, which starts at about $8,500 to own, and the top-of-the-line $17,500-Spyder, will go anywhere from about $30 to over $150 a day to rent. It's at the owner's discretion how they want to price it since it's a peer-to-peer platform, but you can take one out for a daylong adventure without putting in a down payment.
Motorcycle rentals (often of the more traditional variety with two wheels like Harley-Davidsons) are harder to come by than car rentals. On most car-sharing platforms like Turo, Zipcar, and Getaround, you can't rent much beyond the typical car or sports varieties. There's one motorcycle rental site, Riders Share, known for its one-day rental options.
Earlier this month, rapper Cardi B appeared on stage at a concert on the back of the Ryker. Her husband and fellow rapper Offset included the three-wheeled motorcycle in a music video from earlier this year.
The vehicles are automatics, so if you can drive a car you should be able to handle it -- through it's a lot of machine with two wheels up front and one in the back. Owners get really into their rides, with a whole Spyder fan online forum. The vehicles can go over 100 mph, and sadly require gasoline since they aren't electric.

Three is better than two, right?
