On Thursday979 Archives China Mobile, Huawei, and Leju Robotics jointly unveiled the world’s first humanoid robot equipped with 5G-A technology, at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2025. 5G-A (5G-Advanced) is the next evolution of 5G technology, serving as a bridge between 5G and future 6G networks. “With broader bandwidth, ultra-low latency, and a more intelligent network architecture, 5G-A provides a solid technological foundation for the multi-scenario applications of humanoid robots,” said Leju. 5G-A enables humanoid robots to achieve precise location tracking in large-scale environments without additional equipment, according to the R&D team behind the new robot. High-bandwidth capabilities of 5G-A also enable large-scale data collection, which accelerates development cycles and helps adapt humanoid robots’s deep learning models to the diverse needs of various industries, the team added.
