It eclipses the record previously set by Blackpink for "Kill This Love," which had 56.7 million views within a day — this surpassed Ariana Grande's "thank u, next," at 55.4 million one-day views.

The YouTube records cap off a big week for BTS, with the release of their EP Map of the Soul: Persona, plus a highly-coveted appearance on Saturday Night Live.
BTS are also set to perform alongside Halsey at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1, and gathering from their previous appearances at award shows, it's going to be another big moment for a band who show no signs of stopping.
