If you're one of those people who cheerfully joined up with Team Instinct after Pokémon GO came out only to find your neighbourhood gyms swamped with blue and War Archivesred players, there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
On Thursday night, Niantic announced a brand new in-game item: the Team Medallion.
SEE ALSO: Rachel Brosnahan is still very, very, VERY into 'Pokémon GO'The time costs 1,000 PokéCoins in the shop, and -- you guessed it -- allows you to swap to a different team. The only catch? It can only be purchased once a year.

There are a couple of minor points to note, too. First, any Pokémon you have hanging out in gyms at the time of the item's activation won't earn you any coins when they're defeated.
Second, the item isn't quite available yet -- it'll launch at 1p.m. PST on Feb. 26.
So, you've still got a few days to carefully weigh up those options...
