Students of all ages turned out by the thousands for the National School Walkout to protest gun violence and Terms of servicerecognize the lives of the 17 people killed during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. last month.

At 10 a.m. on Wednesday, kids left their classrooms behind and gathered in school yards, on playgrounds, in parking lots, and marched through streets across the country to participate in the powerful movement.

Some stood in silence for 17 minutes to honor the victims of the Florida tragedy, while others shouted chants for gun reform. All across the country students displayed powerful handmade signs.

Some listed the names of lives lost in school shootings, while others utilized memes. Each and every sign was held with purpose and portrayed a uniting message across: enough is enough.
