This is a giant African land snail and it has come to scare your pants off.

Twitter user madds posted this picture of someone holding the giant snail that scarily resembles a rabbit, and we don't know how to feel about it.

One half of us can't help but love this thing. The other half? It wants to cry.

Like us, Twitter users had mixed feelings about the humungous creature and really didn't even know where to begin.

Just to clarify, this snail doesn't belong to madds and, uh, the snail is banned from the U.S. because it's a threat to our ecosystems. She clarified what she learned about the huge mollusk after she received just a fewquestions about it.

According to the New York Invasive Species information website, full-grown adult giant African land snails can reach almost 8 inches (20 cm) long and 5 inches (13 cm) in diameter. Although they are often sold and raised as pets in other countries, they are a potential risk to human health because they can carry a parasitic nematode that can cause meningitis.

Just some fun, and not at all scary, snail facts to think about while you try to fall asleep tonight.
