An Indian couple has taken the Digital India initiative way too seriously.

Instead of accepting the "blessings" (which means money enclosed in paper envelopes) as is the custom in Indian weddings, the couple has put a Paytm QR code on their wedding card that enables anyone to transfer money. The couple notes that this would help curb pollution.
While innovative, this could also leave guests, whether they are planning to attend the wedding or not, in a dilemma. Firstly, there is no clarity on what is the protocol if you are not attending the wedding -- whether you should "bless" the couple or not.
Secondly, and more importantly, there will be a proper electronic record of who gave how many "blessings", which could be awkward especially if others "blessed" the couple more than you did.
But that's only half of the story. For those who can’t make it to the ceremony, there is a QR code for a food pass as well, powered by Sodexo. The unfortunate people who missed the wedding, but still want to have the sweets can cash in the code and eat on the couple's dime.
