Listen,The Eyes Of A Drunk Female Employee Are Erotic I don't need to tell you that people have a lot of feelings about breakfast food. Especially when it comes to bagels.
When Apple first unveiled the design of its forthcoming bagel emoji, there was an almighty furore. Bagel-loving New Yorkers criticised the initial design for its sub-par appearance.

"To be frank, this bagel emoji should only be used to illustrate what kind of bagel you don’twant your friend to pick up on the way over," Richardson added. She also took exception to the woeful absence of cream cheese. C'mon, Apple, what were you thinking?
Well, the good news is this: the bagel emoji has had a makeover. Yes, it now includes cream-cheese, which at the very least gives it the air of being moderately edible.
Apple has re-designed its bagel emoji — which was first unveiled in iOS 12.1 beta — with a brand new design, which hopefully allays bagel lovers' concerns.

Jeremy Burge, Chief Emoji Officer at Emojipedia, tells Mashable that Apple's previous bagel "did a great job" conveying the "concept of a bagel" but many people "didn't think it looked sufficiently appealing. "Especially people from New York," he qualifies.
"The new bagel with cream cheese filling certainly does look tastier in the way that it’s ready to eat. No-one eats a bagel without some kind of spread or filling," adds Burge.
Burge says that Apple's new bagel design has "a lot of detail" and "it's clear that a considerable effort was put in to make this appeal to more people."
It's worth noting that this bagel controversy happened before the emoji was even made available to the general public.
"What’s somewhat amusing is that this emoji isn’t even available to most people yet," says Burge. "We’re only in the developer beta stage of iOS but clearly there was enough feedback about this emoji for Apple to make the change before the final release."
Good to get our pressing bagel concerns addressed sooner rather than later.
