This accidental carjacking story has everything: Portland; matching Subarus and Sisters Sex Scandalpolite apology notes. It's basically a Portlandia sketch in the making.
In a case of mistaken identity, a woman accidentally carjacked Erin Hatzi's Subaru.
Upon realizing the error, she returned the car to its rightful owner with a very good apology note that reads, in part:
SEE ALSO: Person dressed as a tree had an average Monday"Hello, So sorry I stole your car. I sent my friend with my key to pick up my red subaru at 7802 SE Woodstock and she came back with your car. I did not see the car until this morning and I said, 'that is not my car.'"
In addition, the accidental thief left $30 in gas money to make up for the unexpected trip. According to Hatzi's Facebook post about the incident, police told her that old Subaru keys "are sometimes interchangeable."
"I'm not entirely sure where the car spent the evening but it came back with a nice note and a weird story," she told The Oregonian. "My car had a little adventure."
