Ski from the roof to the slopes at this epic new Swiss lodge.
Currently under construction,Beverly Lynne - Bikini Royale 2 (2010) the new 7,000 square metre Hôtel des Horlogers is nestled within Switzerland's Vallée de Joux, and features a five-level external ski path you're encouraged to meander down.
SEE ALSO: This could be the first space hotel and people are already pre-booking the $9.5 million experienceThe luxury hotel has been designed by Copenhagen's Bjarke Ingels Group for Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, in the village of Le Brassus, where the brand's workshop is located.
Once the hotel's complete, you'll be able to ski down five levels of the building's exterior, using a topographically suited path that leads to local ski trails at the foot. Alternatively, you can ski right into a spa or bar on different levels, which is definitely more my style.
With rather lovely views over the Vallée de Joux, the structure is essentially made up of one long corridor stacked in "slabs." Each slab slides outward to create a terrace, and is slightly titled for "continuous exterior circulation."
Inside, a continuous sloping corridor mirrors the outside flow, connecting all hotel rooms. Two restaurants, a bar, a spa and a conference centre are tucked underneath the inclined slabs, and you'll be able to drop in from the exterior path as you please.
It's all part of the Audemars Campus in Le Brassus, run by the lauded Swiss watchmaker. There's even a watch museum on the site, the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet, which yes, you can ski to.
Completion date is yet to be announced, but you can start saving your pennies now.
