A loud crowd interrupted the first moments of the Democratic National Convention with a raucous objection to the mention of Hillary Clinton's name.
Days after leaked emails showed that the DNC seemingly conspired to work against the Bernie Sanders campaign and Russiato prop up Clinton's, anger began to boil over in the Democratic party. When Dr. Cynthia Hale gave the opening invocation to the Philadelphia convention, attendees made that anger known.

"We have an opportunity, oh God, to give undeniable evidence to our commitment to justice and equality by nominating Hillary Rodham Clinton as our candidate for the highest office in the land," Hale said. And with that, cheers rose, but so did loud boos from the audience.
The jeers turned into a long-lasting chant in support of Bernie Sanders as the crowd shouted, "Bernie, Bernie." It followed Sanders being booed for endorsing Clinton ahead of the convention.

Hale was far from the last to receive the crowd's ire.
When Rep. Elijah Cummings addressed the crowd shortly after Hale, to give the report from the Platfrom Committee, his remarks about his dead father were drowned out by vocal protesters shouting, "No TTP."
